Final Year Project

Project Title

NeuroZawiya: A Neuro-Inclusive Platform for Overcoming Task Paralysis and Enhancing Academic Navigation for Neurodivergent Students

Description

NeuroZawiya is an integrated digital ecosystem designed to mitigate academic isolation and executive dysfunction for neurodivergent students. Recognizing that traditional academic structures often exacerbate task paralysis, the platform leverages AI-driven task deconstruction to break down complex assignments into manageable, non-intimidating steps. Additionally, it features FocusPeer, a virtual body-doubling interface that fosters communal productivity through shared accountability. Developed as a Computer Science final year project, the platform’s architecture is grounded in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles and validated through rigorous UX testing using NASA-TLX and System Usability Scale (SUS) metrics. By bridging the gap between institutional support and student needs, NeuroZawiya provides a technically robust, accessible solution that empowers neurodivergent learners to navigate higher education with greater autonomy and confidence.
